Contemporary half leather with gilt spine titles, marbled edges and endpapers. Some rubbing to the binding, slight foxing to the first and last few leaves.

With ownership inscriptions on the first blank leaves of all 5 volumes of Ada Australia Hosking, dated Carrara House, Jan 14th '65

Ada Australia Pracey Hosting (1849-1925) was one of three daughters of John and Matha , nee Terry. Her father was a merchant and the second Mayor of Sydney. Carrara House is situated at 52 Vaucluse Road, Vaucluse and was built in 1856 to a design by John F. Hilly. The house became Strickland Convalescent Home for Women in 1915 and is now government owned heritage listed property.
