The historic ceramic pottery workshop of Manifattvra Di Signa was established in 1895 by Camilla Bondi and his bother Angelo in Signa (Florence). The production was aimed at replicating the ancient models from the Greek and Etruscan originals. Their work was very of a high standard winning them a medal at the Expo in Paris 1900.

There are many artists who have collaborated with the Signa Manufacture: Oreste Calzolari, Giovanni Prini, Giulio Cantalamessa, Adolf von Hildebrand, Raffaello Romanelli, Giuseppe Santelli, Renato Bertelli, Giovan Battista Casanova, Bruno Catarzi, Italo Griselli.
